Affinity 1st Semester 2022: Growth, Union, Learning and Solidarity
As the first half of 2022 reaches its end, Affinity takes the opportunity to make an overview over the growth and main highlights of a very dynamic semester full of updates, learning and solidarity.
With the mission of promoting team spirit in and out of work, the Affinity Communities started on the right foot bringing Players together sharing experiences, ideas, interests, and hobbies they may have in common with colleagues. The year started with 6 Affinity Communities, and we currently count with 8. Affinity seeks to get involved by supporting the participation of Players in tournaments, matches and adventures.
The first semester of our training calendar was also successfully concluded, starting off with a training in Spring Development, followed by an advanced training in .NET Core Development, Scrum Master and including other areas such as Design Thinking, clean coding or efficient remote work. The Affinity Talks also marked the beginning of the Affinity year with two themes of great relevance to the entire Affinity universe: Internet of Things and Meditation. A varied and valuable offer, once again received with all the receptivity by our employees.
In 2021 Affinity carried out two Webinars on Digital Transformation and Nearshore & Culture, and this year we’ve organized a new webinar where we explored the theme Working Tools bringing to debate the importance of work tools to guarantee process efficiency in a digitized business landscape. It counted on the insights of Manuel Moura, Microsoft Product Marketing Manager; Miguel Marques, Affinity CTO & Keywork Product Owner and Cristiana Vicente, Affinity Talent Unit Manager. An event that positively marked the company’s digital presence and in which our Keywork brand and the specialized products it offers were a focus.
This semester, we also dedicated our ‘Affinity’ to causes that are already part of us and that are always a priority for us. In defense of Animals, we spent a happy morning at the UPPA Association, with which we have collaborated on other occasions, and we are always so happy to visit. After a collection of donations, we met and walked the UPPA doggies in #ACaringExperience that always fills up our hearts with love and joy! Children, who are also a vector of Affinity’s Social Responsibility, led us to action in two Actions: on the 1st of June, Children’s Day, the Affinity Corporate team put their hands and hearts to work with Just a Change, in the rehabilitation of a Nursery at a Social Center in Lisbon. A day of solidarity full of smiles and good mood! Also during the month of June, our consultant Catarina Cajada, has gone in a solidarity mission to São Tomé and Príncipe joining an Orphanage and school for young teenage girls and Affinity decided to get involved, donating books, school supplies, hygiene kits and treats and organizing a collection amongst the company employees so everyone could also take part of this beautiful initiative.
In terms of business dynamics, Affinity remains committed to offering specialized IT consulting services at the national level, but with an increasing focus on the international market. Nearshore continues to grow as a key solution for many companies in Europe and around the world and Affinity works persistently to improve its responsiveness capacity and rigor of the entire process.
The first half of the year is over, confident in a second half equally complete in experiences, and the continuous growth of our people and our business, we closed the first half of the year in a spirit of unity, celebrating as a team and readjusting strategy for the coming months.
