Affinity will be at the Web Summit, the biggest event in Technology and Innovation

The biggest technology and innovation event is returning to Lisbon from 13 to 16 November 2023, and Affinity won’t be missing the opportunity to make contact with potential partners and leverage its Nearshore business at this unique opportunity for gathering, learning and networking within the technological sector.

Affinity’s CEO, Carlos Pais Correia, will be at the next Web Summit edition to present Affinity as an IT service provider – with a special focus on Nearshore. In a reality where companies need to respond to technological challenges and implement IT strategies and solutions, Nearshore synergies are an excellent response to this need. Affinity solves and simplifies the same projects with a focus on consistency, rigor and building real partnerships with its clients, being Web Summit an event that generates many business opportunities, particularly in Nearshore projects.

Taking place in Portugal since September 2015, this year’s Web Summit is expected to bring together around 100.000 people. A 10% increase on the 2022 edition, which was attended by 90.000 people. The attended increase is driven by several factors, including the recovery of the global economy after the COVID-19 pandemic, the increasing interest in technology and innovation, and Lisbon’s location as an attractive business destination, among other factors.

Although last October we witnessed the resignation of the founder Paddy Cosgrave, who until then had been the executive leader of the Web Summit with all his charisma and ambition that led the Web Summit to where it is today, Katherine Maher has taken over the leadership and states the immediate mission of “returning the focus to what we do best: facilitating discussions among everyone involved in technological progress”. With this motto, the expectation is that Web Summit 2023 will be an important event for promoting technology and innovation in Portugal and around the world. With a significant impact on the local economy, generating business opportunities, particularly for nearshore projects or IT skills centers, which are in high demand on a global scale.

In one more edition of the Web Summit, participants will be able to update and exchange knowledge, keep up to date with the latest trends in technology through contact with professionals from all over the world, who are also looking for new business opportunities at the event that annually redefines the global technology industry.
