Last Wednesday, June 1st and World Children’s Day, Affinity’s Corporate team accepted the challenge and got their hearts and hands to work – literally – working on the restoration of two large rooms belonging to a Nursery and Day Care Center of a Social Center in Lisbon.
Children are one of Affinity’s Social Responsibility vectors, within the scope of which it has already carried out various actions in partnership with institutions in which it trusts, seeking to have a real impact on the lives of children who, in some way, depend on them.
This time, in partnership with Just a Change – we acted directly in the rehabilitation of two spaces of a Social Center, in which children up to 6 years old spend most of their day playing. A work that started early in the morning as we cleaned and prepared the spaces, painted them and between smiles, teamwork, and good mood, we delivered a more comfortable space to these children.
This Corporate initiative opened the month of June, Children’s Day, in a way that we consider very special. A feeling of mission accomplished for all who were involved, and that leaves us already thinking about a next opportunity to help where we can.
